Which Views Are Available in Posts?
ποΈ Which views are available in the Posts section?
In the Posts section, you can switch between different views β depending on whether you work more visually, prefer to compare posts as a list, or manage your workflow as a Kanban board.
If you first want to get to know Posts overall, start with Introduction to the Posts Section.
The basic idea: your posts stay the same β you only change the presentation so you can reach decisions faster.
For example, if you're currently creating content and working a lot with media, the gallery is usually more pleasant because you see visual previews. If, on the other hand, you're "working through" things as a team (checking statuses, going through approvals, setting priorities), the list is often faster because you can compare date, status, and labels at a glance.
And if you want to manage your process like a pipeline, the board is ideal: you see posts by status columns and immediately spot where something is "stuck".
If you want to build the right work list for this, start with the filters: What Can I Filter By in the Posts Section?.
Gallery view
If you want to create posts directly (rather than just browsing), How Do I Create a Post in Posts? is the next logical step.
The gallery shows posts as cards with previews.
This is especially good if you:
- want to "scan" many posts quickly
- prefer to work visually (image/video preview)
- want to see labels and platform information directly on the card
Typical for the gallery:
- large cards
- preview media
- labels on the card
List view
If you mainly work in the list based on the next step, these pages will help you:
The list is ideal if you want to work through or compare things in a structured way.
This is especially good if you:
- want to prioritize posts by date and status
- want to go through many posts quickly without previews
- need a "work-through list" as a team
Typical for the list view:
- name (title/name of the post)
- publication date
- creation date
- status
- labels
Board (Kanban)
The board is ideal if you want to manage your workflow like a Kanban: you see posts by status columns and can quickly move content into the next step.
This is especially good if you:
- want to see immediately what is currently a draft, in review/approval, scheduled, or published
- spot bottlenecks (e.g. "too much is stuck in review")
- want to keep the status transparent for the team
How to switch views
In the top right of the Posts section, you can switch the view, for example between list, gallery, and board.
π‘ Tip: Use the gallery for creative production, the board for your workflow (Kanban), and the list for "operations mode" (prioritizing, approvals, checks before publishing).
Difference from the Calendar
- Posts: organize and edit posts via status/labels/accounts
- Calendar: check timing and distribution
If you want the difference explained properly once, read on at Difference Between Calendar and Posts.
β Rule of thumb: Posts = overview & next steps. Calendar = timing & plan.
