Recurring Posts and Series

Many teams work with recurring formats: weekly recap, best-of, community wins, product update. Even though KNOWYOURCHAT doesn't automatically "repeat" these posts, you can mark them cleanly with labels and quickly find them again in the calendar.

If you first want to understand labels in general, start with Labels for posts.

Recurring formats work best when everyone on the team can recognize them instantly. That's exactly what labels are for: you tag posts by format, campaign, or priority and see at a glance in the calendar which content belongs together.

If you not only want to see series in the calendar but also want to "work through" them efficiently, Posts is the right complement.

Making recurring formats visible with labels

If you want to use labels consistently in Posts and in the calendar, the page Labels in Posts will also help you.

How to build a simple series logic:

  • Create one clear label per format, for example:
    • Format:WeeklyRadar
    • Format:Community Wins
    • Format:Product Update
  • Add further labels for context as needed:
    • Campaign:Launch
    • Prio:High
    • Client:…

Best practices (so it really helps quickly)

  • Few labels, clear structure: Better 8 good labels than 40 unclear ones.
  • Consistent naming: Always write them the same way so filters work cleanly. (See also: KNOWYOURCHAT glossary → naming scheme / labels.)
  • Format first: With Format:…, series are immediately visible in the calendar.
  • Filter quickly: When planning a week, filter by Format:… to see all matching posts together (or: KALENDER_FILTER). For a view of distribution and free slots, the page Calendar views: month and week is helpful.

Tip: When you start a new recurring format, define the label first and use it consistently. That way a "series" emerges automatically, without anything needing to be duplicated or repeated.
