How Do I Create Posts Across Multiple Platforms?

How do I create posts across multiple platforms?

With KNOWYOURCHAT, you can create a post once and then publish it on several platforms. This saves time and keeps your message consistent.

The key idea: cross-platform posting usually means "one core piece of content, several clean adaptations". This is exactly where the AI Crew supports you – especially quickly via the AI Studio.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure the following is in place:

  • The platforms you want to post on are connected to KNOWYOURCHAT.
  • You have the necessary permissions to create, schedule, and publish.

Option 1: Manually (Posts or Calendar)

Step by step: cross-platform posting in "Posts"

  1. Open the Posts section.
  2. Click Create post in the top right.
  3. Select the platforms/accounts you want to publish on.
  4. Add media (image/video) and write a core text.
  5. Create variations for each platform:
    • adapt the copy manually or
    • use AI support for platform-specific variations.
  6. Check the preview and details per platform (format, length, hashtags).
  7. Decide whether to schedule or publish immediately.

Alternative: create the post via the Calendar

You can also create the post directly in the Calendar:

  • Month view: hover over a day → plus (+)
  • Week view: hover over a day → Create post

You then use the same post editor (select platforms, media, core text, variations, scheduling/approval depending on your role).

Option 2: AI Studio (AI Crew) – fastest for variations

If you want a quick starting point or need several platform variations, use the AI Studio:

  1. Open the AI Studio.
  2. Share your idea with the AI Crew (keep it short – ideally with goal, target audience, occasion).
  3. Select (or name) the platforms you want to post on.
  4. Have a draft generated – including variations per platform.
  5. Transfer the draft into a post and schedule it or submit it for approval (depending on your role).

Platform-specific copy: which adaptations are typical?

If you select multiple platforms, you don't have to use the same text everywhere. In practice, it's almost always better to make small adjustments per platform.

Typical adaptations:

  • tone and length (e.g. shorter for TikTok/Shorts, more context for LinkedIn)
  • hashtags (platform-dependent)
  • call-to-action (e.g. "Comment" vs. "Save")

Common pitfalls

  • Copy is duplicated 1:1 across all platforms even though expectations and formats differ.
  • The media format doesn't fit (e.g. wrong aspect ratio).
  • The post is finished, but scheduling/approval is missing.

Quick start: Create a post → select platforms → core text + media → have the AI Crew create variations (AI Studio) → quick polish per platform → schedule or publish.
