How do I create posts for YouTube (videos & Shorts)?
Here you will learn how to create, schedule, and publish YouTube videos and Shorts in KNOWYOURCHAT – either manually (Calendar/Posts) or with the new AI Studio (AI Crew).

Path 1: Create manually (Calendar or Posts)
A) Create a post in the Calendar
You can create posts directly in the Calendar.
- Month view: Hover over a day → plus (+)
- Week view: Hover over a day → Create post
The post editor then opens.
B) Create a post in "Posts"
Alternatively, go to the Posts section and click Create post in the top right.
In the post editor (for both paths)
- Give the post a title.
- Select YouTube as the platform.
- Upload a video or a Short.
- Write the title/description (yourself or with AI support).
- Set the YouTube options (e.g. visibility, category, thumbnail).
- (Optional) Add labels.
- (Optional, depending on your role) Request approvals.
- Schedule date & time or save as a draft.
Path 2: With the AI Studio (AI Crew)
In the AI Studio you share your idea directly with the AI Crew and have a post draft built from it in seconds.
You typically get:
- title/description suggestions that match your goals
- wording that matches your brand voice
- variants (e.g. different hooks/CTAs)
You then take the draft into a post and schedule it or send it for approval (depending on your role).

What you can configure for YouTube in KNOWYOURCHAT

Video title
- You can set a video title.
Visibility
- You can choose the visibility (e.g. Public).
Category
- You can choose a category.
Video cover (thumbnail)
- You can select a preview image (cover/thumbnail).
First comment
- You can prepare a first comment and have it published automatically along with the video.
Labels, scheduling, and review
- Add labels: structure formats, campaigns, and priorities → Labels for posts
- Date & time: schedule publication
- Assign reviewers: structure feedback and approval in your team → Approval & review in Posts
Text & support
- You write the title and description directly in the post.
- With AI support you can create text variants or polish your wording.
Preview
- You see a preview of how the post will look on YouTube.
ℹ️ Important: Some management features are not available due to API restrictions (e.g. deleting posts/videos or disabling comments before publication).
