AI in Onboarding: Capturing Goals and Writing Copy

During onboarding, the AI Crew builds context about your brand. This includes company, marketing, and social media goals as well as (depending on your setup) target audience and tone. Later on, this information helps make suggestions and texts less "generic" and more aligned with your direction.

Onboarding is therefore the foundation for consistent content: once goals, target audiences, and tone are clearly defined, the AI Crew becomes faster in everyday work and hits the right tone more often.

What is asked during onboarding?

Depending on your setup, onboarding may ask about points like these:

  • Company goals
    • e.g. growth, recruiting, brand awareness, product focus
  • Marketing goals
    • e.g. leads, webinar sign-ups, sales inquiries, newsletter
  • Social media goals
    • e.g. reach, community building, engagement, saves
  • Target audience(s)
    • who are you writing for? (e.g. industry, roles, experience level)
  • Tone / brand voice
    • e.g. factual, professional, casual (or informal/formal address)
  • Company info
    • website and/or brand documents (CI guideline, brand book, booklet)

How do onboarding goals feed into posts later?

When you create posts later (manually or in the AI Studio), the AI Crew can align suggestions more strongly with your goals.

In practice that means:

  • The AI Crew is more likely to suggest fitting hooks (e.g. problem/benefit instead of a generic intro).
  • CTAs become more goal-oriented (e.g. "comment", "save", or "sign up").
  • Tone and word choice become more consistent because a clear framework is in place.

Important: the AI Crew doesn't replace strategy — but it helps translate strategy into good content faster.

Best practices

  • Be specific: examples beat abstract goals.
    • instead of "more reach" → "more reach among solo self-employed people in the DACH region"
  • Prioritize: better 1–2 main goals than 6 equally important ones.
  • Update when things change: if campaigns or target audiences shift, company info and goals should follow. You can manage this in Settings.

How to use goals later when creating (quick prompts)

Even though the AI Crew knows your goals from onboarding, a short addition to your request pays off:

  • "Goal: webinar sign-ups, CTA: link in bio"
  • "Goal: more saves, please as a checklist"
  • "Goal: more comments, please end with a question"

ℹ️ Note: Depending on the platform and post type, individual suggestions may benefit from onboarding information to varying degrees.
